There are numerous advantages that a JMC swingarm offers over a stock item aside from the obvious aesthetic improvements which include mirror-polishing, sleek lines and vastly improved welds in all areas. In nearly all cases our 'arms are considerably lighter than stock leading to a more responsive ride as well as bringing the weight of the bike down. As well as often being lighter they are substantially stiffer than a stock component, especially with our top or bottom braces; which are bent as 1 whole piece leaving no unsightly welds in the middle. This stiffness can dramatically reduce 'sloppy handling'.
