If your standard swingarm does not have a top brace and you order a JMC swingarm without a top brace then the hugger will fit on to the JMC Swingarm without a problem.

If your standard swingarm has a top brace and the hugger is attached to this, and you order just a bottom braced swingarm, then you will not be able to use the original hugger guard. However most of our customers in this situation either use a hugger from a swingarm that does not have a top brace. Very popular for this is a hugger from a GSXR1100 L/M OR N model or the three point mounting huggers from a Ducati 888/900 Monster. The mounting points on the JMC Swingarm can simply be drilled and tapped 5mm to accept either of the above.

Alternatively a Hugger Guard is not used at all.

If your standard Swingarm has a top brace and you order a JMC Swingarm with a top brace then due to differences in the section of the standard brace/JMC brace then you must specify that you wish to retain the standard Hugger.
